Coffee Table From Pallets and Crates

0

I built this table with some 2x4s and 1x4s that I scavenged from crates and pallets that would have otherwise been trashed. I glued 15 2x4s together with Titebond II. Cut off the ends with a circular saw. Then I built a simple frame for the base. I used the 1x4s to wrap the base and make the shelving. It took some belt sanding to get the top smooth. Then I filled the gaps on the top with plastic wood. Sanded some more with the belt sander and a palm sander. The stain is ebony min-wax with clear gloss polyurethane. Witing for the glue and finish to dry took longer than the actual table construction. It was fun and very cheap. around 30$ for supplies.
